Astm A333 Gr 8 Pipe, Gas Pipes and
SA 333 grade 6 Schedule 40 Pipe supplier and exporter in India
Apart
from alloy steel, the specification for A333 Grade 6 covers carbon steel pipes.
At Aesteiron, we supply A333 Pipe Material in both a seamless and welded
manner. This ASTM specified Carbon Steel A333 Grade 6 Seamless Pipes has been
designed with the intention of being used in low temperature
environments. The carbon based ASTM A333 gr6 Round Pipe can
be manufactured by either a seamless or welding process without
any addition of a filler metal to be used in the welding operation. According
to the specification, all A333 seamless pipe and welded pipes are required to
be treated to control their microstructure.
Tests such as impact tests, tensile tests, hydrostatic tests, and non-destructive electric tests are to be conducted on the LTCS ASTM A333 Gr 6 SMLS Pipe in accordance to the requirements of this particular specification. The use of ASME sa333 grade 6 Schedule 40 Pipe should be kept to a maximum temperature of about 570 Degree F. Pre – heating the sa333 gr6 Bevelled End Pipe is neither required nor is a post weld heat treatment for these pipes necessary. Under this specification, All seamless and welded pipes produced from API 5L A333 Gr 6 Material needs to be treated in such a manner that their microstructure can be controlled using any of the following methods i.e. - Normalizing the A333 Grade 60 pipes, Quenched and Tempered or Double Normalizing the SA333 gr 6 welded pipes following which the pipe is then to be tempered. Contact Aesteiron for a quick quote and learn more about the price for ASTM A333 Grade 6 Pipes. ASTM A333 Grade 6 determination covers seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe which utilized in low-temperature working conditions. ASTM A333 is a decent substitute for A106-B for a wide scope of temperatures. Based on ASME B31.3 the reasonable pressure for A106 Grade B is 16ksi to 500F; for A333 grade 6 is 20Ksi to 400F and 18.9ksi to 500F It would be reasonable for say that, given the application has a working temperature greater than - 20F, either A106 or A333 materials will be satisfactory. However, below - 20F, just the A333 will be satisfactory to - 50F.
